The power of colors

Carl Gustav Jung said that: “Colors are the mother tongue of the subconscious”

Hence, I found it interesting to talk about how to communicate in fashion using color psychology. I think that we all wear color on a daily basis without thinking too much to the subtle messages that we send.

So, how often did you asked yourself this question while getting dressed? Who I am and what is the message that I will send by wearing these colors?

This season is all about 10 bright colors: Fuchsia Red, Salmon Rose, Palace Blue, Lucite Green, Super Lemon, Dark Citron, Lavender, Vibrant Green, Slate Gray, Rose Dust

I love them all because I think they are sophisticated and optimistic.

Actually, I am in the process of getting rid of all my black clothes. I never thought that this will be so difficult, but I am planning not to give up. It’s true, black mean authority and power, but it is a macabre, tired, and negative color.

Fuchsia Red inspires me passsion and love. I think it is a very emotionally intense color. It is also inspires me peace and rest. When combined with Rose Dust or with Slate Gray it inspires a totally fresh attitude.

Salmon Rose is a very gentle and calming color that stimulates me feelings of innocent romance. In contrast with orange Salmon rose draws energy and relaxes making me approachable

Palace Blue is the calmest color. It calms tense subjects and increases feelings of well-being. Palace blue may be a bit too calming for most learning environments but it’s definitely a source of inspiration.

Lavender is a color rarely found in nature. This is fact that instantly draws attention to anyone that wears this color. Its rarity makes it appear artificial sometimes. This color has traditionally represented luxury, royalty, wealth and sophistication. Lavender has a feminine and romantic appeal, especially its lighter shades.

Dark Citron is a color full of vitality, passion and positive energy. It is very strong, hence recommended for the fashionable woman who loves novelty, extravagance and the unusual. I think that it has a positive effect in combination with pale beige.

Vibrant Green is the color associated with happiness, good times, days full of energy, healthiness and vitality.

Super Lemon can be overpowering. This is a bright color and transmits easily its positive attributes. By attracting your attention, yellow enhances concentration. I believe that yellow may speed up our metabolism.

So, what color do you choose to wear?

Choose carefully and take your time to put a color scheme together, which will not only suit your complexity, but will also impact positively our mood and energy.
