Contemporary Fashion Illustration Techniques by Naoki Watanabe

The primary skill needed by anyone who works in fashion is the ability to convey—to clients and the general public alike—images of the designs. The impression given to the viewer depends on whether the fashion design drawings are good.
Contemporary Fashion Illustration Techniques
teached me in easy steps how to learn the basics of fashion illustration, the latest trends such as vivid images, sprightly, movement, garment material texture or how to illustrate drapes in fabric, particularly helpful because I sketched ideas a lot and I wanted to improve them. I find that the better I sketch and make notes the easier it is to get the idea I was trying to remember when I go back to the sketch book. This book teached me to make drawings and experimenting with images on paper that fashion illustrations develop an give shape to my creative ideas.
After all, fashion drawing is not simply about sketching a body and face.
Only when you accurately illustrate the garments and their colors can the designs truly come to life. For example even where you are capable of making an attractive and skillful fashion design drawing, no garment will result from it unless there is a strong desire for it to be made. Rather than drawing with superficial skills focus with serious commitment and from that drawing a garment will be made. But the more experience you have the sooner your drawings will be able to express your own unique designs.
