Creative shoes
Couldn’t resist not to share with you the innovative work of Israeli footwear designer Kobi Levi. What do you think about them?
I’m inspired by the playful and unique approach to his designs, treating shoes as sculptures. Levi takes everyday objects and incorporates them into a creative pair of high heels. His shoe concepts have reached an endless variety of themes .
“In my artistic footwear design, the shoe is my canvas,” says Levi on his website. ”The trigger to create a new piece comes when an idea, a concept and/or an image comes to mind. It is alive. Most of the inspirations are out of the ‘shoe-world,’ and give the footwear an extreme transformation. The result is usually humoristic with a unique point of view about footwear.”
What I’;d be curious to find out is how much comfort does a pair of this shoes offer. For me, owning comfortable shoes is a necessity, despite a very good design.. But, let’s take them as they are: ”wearable sculptures”.
