Pure White

I think that white is my favorite this Spring/Summer. Although florals are in this spring, I still can’t ignore the return to old fashion innocence - white.

Dreamy soft whites have a very romantic feel, with peasant tops, floaty dresses in chiffon and broderie Anglais, skirts and dresses with sun ray pleats and soft white tunics.

Why do I love white?

I associate white it with romantism, elegance, innocence and minimalism. White is pure. White is timeless.

How do I wear white with other colors?

Like black, white goes well with almost any color, that’s because white reflects all colors. 

I love to use white with light, nude or pastel tones, to make the pastel palette more lively, or with a touch of vivid green to create a Spring-like palette.

Tips for wearing white
  • If I’m doing the frilly thing, I always assure myself to get the balance right. 
  • If I don’t feel confident in top-to-toe color I try the season’s key accessory - a white clutch bag.

  • Cotton mix chiffon dress with broderie anglaise  accessorise with delicate accents of nude - flat shoes, bags 
  • White skirts with easy cotton tops

  • White crepe turn-up pants with coat and nude lace -up booties 

    • As accessories I’ll use delicately colored clutch bags.

    All in all, I think that minimal white is fabulous and it appears that designers all have their own shade of white this Spring-Summer.
