The story of a simple smile
Have you ever stopped to pay attention to people on the street in this period, autumn? What inspired you? I did it and I was surprised …
Yesterday while I was waiting the bus I found myself looking around me. The city looked like a big dark stain. People’s clothes were 90 % black, brown and khaki. You already know that I’m in love with colors, I like them all, in any possible combination, but I never realized how much sadness are hiding these three colors seen all around me.
Another aspect that I realized was that all people around me seemed to be depressed, stressed and sad. This was all visible on their faces. No smile in there…
Then I realized that in all this dark world, there was only one simple thing missing. One smile.
“It costs nothing but it gives you much. It lives only a moment but his memory survives sometimes an eternity”, as Dale Carnegie said in one of his awesome books: Secrets of Success.
Then the first thing that was on my mind was that the only persons that give you a sincerely smile anytime, anywhere, without asking anything in return, are kids. A baby’s smile has an amazing effect.
So, now, when I was wondering what to be the story behind a collection of illustrations that I’ll create for a special project of a Romanian website Eumama.ro, I found the answer: a sincere smile. Stay tuned, my dears, and be prepared to see the project. I’ll post it here soon.
